things that happened when I arrived in the US

Maybe it is not a funny story. This situation was very hard and gave me some stress. However in memory, it is a very memorable story in these days.

When I arrived in the US five days ago, I recognized I failed to get my dorm or any apartment. Also my hotel couldn't extend one more day. It means I was homeless. For this reason, I was getting nervous. So, I started to find any apartment in downtown, but I couldn't find anything because there was no office of apartment. In addition, they just provided a phone number of a landlord in 'for renting' sign. And one more bad thing was I didn't have a cell phone. Thus, I spent half a day riding a bicycle which I rented from 'World of Bikes', and gathered list of phone numbers of landlords. But of course, I failed to contact to the landlords because I couldn't understand their auto answering machine recordings; their speech speed was very fast for me. Then, I contacted one member of the Korean association in Iowa, and finally, I succeeded to rent a apartment with his help.

It was pretty hard for a Korean who was not good at speaking English, but I succeeded.
This experience made me confident and strong.
